New Ultrasound Pictures

We had the ultrasound today and he is definitely our son. He was stubborn and kept putting his hand in front of his face. We poked and wiggled with no success. He was comfortable and was not going to move. This one he seems to be smiling. One of the best ones straight on without a hand on his face. Profile shot. His right arm is to the left of the picture.

This is where his left hand usually was or it was over his head coming down on his face. He kept wanting to cover his face. At one point he had both hands in front of his face.

He kept opening and closing his mouth. Practicing the breathing.

Another Ultrasound

Well, We are having an ultrasound on September 20th. It is a 3D/4D one that is strictly for fun. They record it onto a DVD for you and also give you pictures to take home and post on wonderful sites as this. I am anxious to see how much he has grown and what he looks like. I just hope he sits still enough to get great shots. I know it can be a hit and miss and on previous ultrasounds they have said he is pretty active. I FINALLY started to feel him move about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Seemed like it took forever but the doctor said it would take longer for me than most because my placenta is located in the front thus he would have to move with enough force for me to feel it through that. Tom really hasn't felt him move yet because the force isn't enough to feel it on the outside. He is not awake much through the night but he has his moments during the day when he gives me a good one now and again. It is amazing to think there is another life forming inside of me that is part of both Tom and I. Very exciting. I will post pictures after the ultrasound. TTFN

Daddy Update

So, my father completed one round of the chemotherapy and didn't have a good response to it. Something in it made his mouth feel raw and he was unable to eat and he also had some other unpleasant bowel affects. So...he has decided since the doctor couldn't say whether or not it would really help any he has opted to not continue. I am sure it was a hard decision but it is his choice and I told him I would support him in any decisions he has made in his treatment. He is the one who has to go throught both the physical and emotional aspects of the treatment. He is still going to try the homeopathic/natural medications. Not sure how long he will wait till he receives his next PETscan to see if any of it is working. I will keep posting on it though. I am excited to see him though. I am going the end of September to visit him and my two sisters will also be there. Kinda a little family get together. Very exciting. I think we are going fishing...I will have to bring some gloves to touch the worms and the fish...I hate the way the stuff dries my skin when I touch it. BLEEEEAAAACCCCKKKKKK!!!
